perfect murder mystery dinner party.
Egypt, 1924.
Two years ago the tomb of Tutankhamun was uncovered and caused a
worldwide sensation. Now an even more remarkable discovery has been
made with the opening of the tomb of King Men-her-Ra by Sir John
Willard and Felix Bleibner.
But within days, tragedy has struck. Sir John dies suddenly heart
failure and two week’s later, Bleibner too is dead, struck down by
blood poisoning. When the latter’s nephew, Rupert Bleibner, commits
suicide in New York, the rumours of a curse reach the point of
hysteria. Hercule Poirot summons the surviving members of the
expedition to Cairo, where he will uncover the truth. Are these three
deaths connected? Are there supernatural forces at work? Or is one of
his dinner guests a murderer?
The suspects are:
SIR GUY WILLARD – the son and heir of Sir John Willard, he has just come down from Oxford and taken over his father’s work.
LADY DIANA WILLARD – the widow of Sir John Willard, fearful that her only son will be the next victim of the curse.
HASSAN – the Egyptian servant of the Willard family, steeped in the superstitions and customs of the ancient world.
DR GLADYS FOSSWELL – a British archaeologist from the British Museum,
she has long been a colleague and a rival of Sir John Willard.
PROFESSOR KURT SCHNEIDER – a German archaeologist from the Altes Museum, Berlin, he has only recently joined the expedition.
DR ROBERT AMES – an American doctor with the expedition, a long-standing friend of the Bleibner family
FEMI ATI – an Egyptian nurse, working with Dr Ames
JUDITH HARPER – the secretary to the late Bleibner, she met her employer in Cairo just six months ago.
The game includes invitations: simply choose which of your friends play
which devious suspect and invite them to come along as that character.
Also included are menu suggestions, recipes and of course, a really
tasty murder to solve! It will be drop-dead fun, and by the end of the
evening, one (or more) of your friends will be caught out as the
murderer!
